The traditional furniture industry needs a complete overhaul. Items are mass produced with little originaldesign or ability for you to customize. Pieces are constructed from materials that are not sustainable or eco-friendly. The process to make it is wasteful from the negative environmental impact of mass manufacturing to the excess unsold inventory made of materials that do not biodegrade. Model No. was created to solve these problems and reimagine how you can access sustainable artfully designed custom furnishings.

Model No. is the first on-demand custom furnishings company driven by consumer needs and led by a devotion to technology, design and environmental responsibility. Our approach provides artfully crafted pieces that you can fully customize to fit your style, budget and home.

All of our furnishings are made domestically with sustainably sourced materials and produced using the latest eco-friendly automated tech including 3D printing. Every item is created on-demand by you and delivered in a few weeks, eliminating long wait times and wasteful inventory.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Join Model-no.com’s very first retail experience in the form of a popup shop this holiday season. We’re creating a place for consumers to see our products in real life and get educated about our regenerative furniture offerings. We are bringing together the best in class team to help us share our story, drive sales,
increase brand awareness and web traffic. We plan to create a destination to host events for our consumers, private events with media and showcase tours with prospective business partners.
 
Model No. operates a marketplace consisting of over 100 complementary products, from emerging sustainable and mission-driven brands.
 
These products should be woven into the story of complementary products merchandised with/on Model No. products.
 

THE POSITION:
Seasonal Sales Associate:
We are seeking a sales associate to join our seasonal retail team this holiday season for 14 weeks. Successful applicants will manage all aspects of sales (both in person and online) and events, while assisting with online inventory management. We hold true to our values and are seeking applicants that align with our mission. This is a competitively paid hourly position.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Tell our brand story with understanding of product knowledge and assortment
  • Guide customers through our seasonal campaign and marketplace collection
  • Assist customers with customization offerings
  • Complete sales transaction and update multiple ecommerce platforms
  • Provide daily/weekly customer feedback to product team
  • Maintain and update database of inventory both online and instore
  • Assist with setting up in-store programming, events and activations
  • Assist with media and partnership appointments
  • Assist marketing team with capturing social media opportunities
  • Support with daily duties - ensuring the store is clean, inventory is organized, floor is ready to showcase
  • Support with opening and closing of store duties
  • Support with re-merchandising of products on the floor
  • Work as part of a team and support their assistant manager and general manager in their roles
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Retail or showroom experience (furniture a-plus)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and networking skills
  • Experience in managing online sales and POS
  • Attention to detail
